Open Space Initiatives

All forms of open space are important to Bethlehem's character.

Our past initiatives include a petition supporting the updating of the town's comprehensive plan and a building moratorium during that process. We have organized community talks by experts, such as on urban planning to address growth pressures, and support ecologically sustainable yards and gardens.

We are currently supporting a town-wide referendum to purchase 300 acres of farmland to be maintained as agriculture and open space.
